Welcome to D.O.M.O.:

Defying Odds to Motivate and Overcome

With a heart both heavy and hopeful, I share a vision born from my ​profound love for my daughter, Dominique T. Millard—our beloved ​Domo. She was a gentle spirit with dreams of becoming a chef, eager to ​sprinkle joy into the lives of others through her culinary talents.

Tragically, her journey was cut short on Thanksgiving Day in 2019, when ​a drunk driver stole her future. Though we did not find justice in the courts ​due to mishandlings of her case, I refuse to let Domo's story end in ​heartbreak. I am determined to honor her legacy by shining a light on who ​she was and working to save other lives.

In her memory, I am creating D.O.M.O.—Defying Odds to Motivate and ​Overcome—a nonprofit that will be a beacon of hope for those feeling lost. ​Domo’s life exemplified resilience, and through D.O.M.O., we will ​empower others to rise above their challenges, just as she aspired to.

We will advocate for change and raise awareness alongside Mothers ​Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.), ensuring that no mother experiences ​the heartache I have. M.A.D.D. will be central to our mission, highlighting ​the devastating consequences of impaired driving and striving for a future ​where lives are protected.

As Domo’s sister, Demetria our family and I embark on this journey, I ​invite you to envision a world transformed by hope and resilience. ​D.O.M.O. is not just a name; it’s a movement—a promise to honor ​Domo’s legacy by empowering every heart we touch.

Together, we will weave a tapestry of stories filled with courage and ​strength, celebrating those who, like Domo, have faced their fears and ​dared to dream. We will provide resources and support, fostering a ​community that uplifts and inspires.

As we prepare to launch in 2025, let us turn our grief into action, making ​a tangible impact while honoring Domo’s memory.
